Autumn Milk Latte
Good morning, everyone, and welcome to a brand new week. Mondays have a terrible connotation, one that I find completely unwarranted. Sure, the weekend has come to an end a little earlier than we may have wanted, but Mondays mean new beginnings and possibilities. We can make the day exactly what we hope it will be; wake up with a positive attitude and a smile on your face, and it'll make all the difference. Remember: today is the first day of the rest of your life. Nonetheless, I do recognize that with Monday comes more homework, work, and a renewed layer of stress. They can be a little discouraging. So today I've decided to post one of my favorite comfort treats, one to brighten up any morning. With a hint of pumpkin spice, and the creamiest, silkiest texture of all-time, this Autumn Milk Latte is a sure winner. Even better, it is hassle-free, sugar-free, and 100% Primal! See the recipe below:
Serves 1
Ingredients
A little more than 7/8 cup of full-fat almond milk
A little less than 1/8 cup of organic heavy whipping cream
2 tsps granulated sweetener (I love Lakanto's monk fruit or Swerve)
1 tsp vanilla extract
A dribble of almond extract
A sprinkling of pumpkin spice (to taste)
Instructions
In a small sauce pan, mix all of the ingredients together over medium-high heat. Stir constantly in order to combine ingredients. Do not allow the mixture to reach a boil, but keep the heat as high as possible without the cream burning on the base of the pan. Once the mixture has reached a warm temperature, pour it through a funnel and into a mug. Enjoy a perfect, healthy substitute for that sugary drink you've been craving for awhile, and be careful not to burn your tongue!
